Will Taylor Lautner and The Rock Be David and Goliath In Biblical Epic Film?

It's not easy for a huge man of made of pure muscles and standing 6'5 to get a good and powerful role in a Hollywood flick. Usually actors with this body frame end up playing cops, football players, bouncers or soldiers. Well it looks like the Hollywood spotlight has shined for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as he is in conversations to play the role of his career as Goliath in the Hollywood film of the Biblical tale.

Twitch reports that Johnson is now in talks to star as the main big guy in Relativity Media and Temple Hill Entertainment's biblical epic. This take on the classic David and Goliath story, has director Scott Derrickson (The Day The Earth Stood Still) attached and is envisioned to be in the likes of 300 in terms of style.

The word is that an offer has been made to Twilight's Taylor Lautner to play the brave David, this is a given choice because Twilight producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are also attached to the Goliath project.

Now there's already concerns wether Lautner is right for the part, being that he is 5'10" tall and compared to The Rock's 6'5", its not really keeping true to the story. Obviously there will be computer generated visual FX to enhance the giantness of Goliath, but perhaps choosing an shorter actor is wiser for keeping true to the original story, and calming down religious fanatics who are sure to voice their opinions!

What do you think of The Rock and Tyler Lautner playing David and Goliath?
